Domaine Saint Hilaire makes incredible wine.. they’ve won numerous awards for their Chardonnay and are committed to producing quality wine rather than quantity. Set in rolling countryside in the Languedoc region of South of France, the estate is a revelation. It feels every bit a small family of boutique wine producers with the family home attached to the wine cave, and a team committed to excellence.
Recently they have embraced welcoming visitors to their country estate and now you can hold your very own wedding next door to the oak barrels and shiny steel vats.
It’s such a gloriously laid back place, that you can’t help but smile as soon as you drive down the dusty track towards the domaine. Farm machinery sits in the barn on the edge of the vineyards, natural woodland snakes round the back of the house, and the house is a mix of art deco and charming rustic French farmhouse with modern accents. It’s pretty perfect.
I met up with owner Nick recently to shoot a little promo film about why he fell in love with the domaine and why he wants to share it with future generations.
